Meetings: 

 Science National Honor Society will have a brief meeting today 2/20 at 2:20 in room 702.

FBLA will have a meeting on Tuesday, February 20th at 2:30pm till 3:30pm in room 114.

 

Senior Info:

 There will be a Project Graduation meeting Monday, 2/19 at 6 pm in room 680.  Please let your parents know.

 Tryouts:

Any student interested in working with the baseball team as a manager, please see Coach Mac or Coach Meadows for more information and instructions.

 General Information:

JSH will be hosting a registration information session for parents and students on Thursday, March 1 from 6pm until 8pm in the auditorium.  Our counselors will kick things off with an opening session from 6pm - 6:25pm in the auditorium, and then we will have breakout sessions led by our IB/AP staff, AVID staff, Academy Directors, District staff, and Athletics Directors.  The goal of this night is to help our parents and students explore all of the opportunities for rigor at JHS.  After this event, the counselors will meet with every one of our students one on one to complete their registration card. 

 

JHS will host a varsity girls basketbal state playoff game against Western Harnett High School on Tuesday February 20.  The game will start at 6:00pm and ticket sales begin at 5:00pm.  Admission will be $6 per ticket - only NCHSAA passes allowed for free entry- no JHS Athletic Booster Club passes accepted nor Onslow Counmty Schools employee badges.

 

All DECA students need to see Ms. Draime in room 102 sometime this week for important information.

Attention all students going to the Career EXPO at Coastal Carolina Community College on Thursday - Permission slips are due to Mrs. Maready in room 101 ASAP.

Fayetteville State University Open House will be March 24 from 9am-1pm at Fayetteville State University.

Sophomores - Applications are now being accepted on line for NC State University Satelliet Premier Stem and Leadership Camp at NC State.  The application deadline is March 2.  Please see your teachers for more information.    

 

FBLA is hosting a Fundraising event at Panera Bread on Thursday, February 22, 2018 between 4:00pm and 8:00pm.  Bring a printed flyer or an electronic version of the flyer on a mobile phone or tablet to present when ordering and 20% of sales will be donated to FBLA.  Ask any FBLA member or Ms. Hamel for a flyer or visit the FBLA page on the JHS website.

 

Students that have taken or are currently taking an AP class, please go to the guidance office to sign up to take the AP exam in May.  If you have any questions, please see Anie Williams.

 

The Senior Class is continuing their year of service with a "50's" themed Sadie Hawkins Sock Hop on Friday, February 23.  Tickets are $8  in advance and will be $10 at the door.  Tickets will be on sale during all lunches beginning February 19.  T-shirts will also be on sale for $10 each.  All proceeds will benefit the Semper Fi Fund. The dance will be in the cafeteria from 7:30pm - 11pm.
