"Operation Care Bag"   

Jacksonville High School’s Health Sciences Academy

 Coloring Book & Crayon Drive (Service Project). 

Please help create care bags throughout the school year which are

 to be distributed to children when admitted to the

 Onslow Memorial Hospital’s Pediatric Floor.

 Academy students may drop off coloring books & crayons  to their HSA IMPACT teacher.

The JHS Health Sciences Academy

HSA Vision:  Prescription for Success

HSA Mission:  The JHS Health Sciences Academy will prepare students to be globally competitive and will prepare them for post-secondary education and /or entry-level employment in the field of health care.

HSA Goals:

HSA Goal #1:  The JHS Health Sciences Academy will prepare students to make career decisions suited to their individual needs, abilities, and career goals.

HSA Goal # 2:  JHS Health Sciences Academy students will master essential skills through a rigorous and challenging curriculum.

HSA Goal #3:  JHS Health Sciences Academy students will participate in workplace learning experiences and build relationships through guest speakers, field trips, shadowing and/or internships that are in alignment with their career goals.

HSA Goal # 4:  JHS Health Sciences Academy students will be given the opportunity to gain free college credits through dual enrollment at Coastal Carolina Community College.

HSA Goal #5:  JHS Health Sciences Academy students will be given the opportunity to earn nationally recognized industry certifications in NC Nursing Assistant I, Pharmacy Technician, CPR/First Aide, Veterinary Assistant I, and/or the IB Career Program (IBCP).
